Biographical Statement:

PhD candidated (ABD) at the University of Florida. His Master's Thesis is a structural take on the role of video game music, but his dissertation in progress is on typography and textuality in video games. He has published in Game Studies, Media/Culture, Work and Days and is the webmaster for this site as well as production editor for ImageTexT: Interdisciplinary Comics Studies. With Laurie Taylor, Zach is also editing a collection of essays on video games, history, and nostalgia.
