So maybe these are "tabloidgaming"? Paris Hilton really shouldn't qualify as news (unless we're talking economics and stock value in her and her family's companies). Newsgaming has news in the name, and definitions of news include: "Information the public expects to be factual and accurate. Nonfiction events reported to the public through print or electronic media." I guess Paris Hilton's behavior counts for news, technically, but the game of her isn't factual or accurate. Newsgames may or may not be factual, but they present accurate arguments using a set of established facts to make a game/argument. The Paris Hilton game uses far fewer facts (Paris exists, and is going to jail) to then mock her rather than to make an argument.
