Commentary and Resources for the Game Studies Community.
Reconstruction: Studies in Contemporary Culture (ISSN 1547-4348) [http://www.reconstruction.ws] is an innovative culture studies journal dedicated to fostering an intellectual community composed of scholars and their audience, granting them all the opportunity and ability to share thoughts and opinions on the most important and influential work in contemporary interdisciplinary studies.
We are particularly interested in reviewing manuscripts that interrogate media in theory and practice. This may be done from any number of perspectives, and can reflect a wide range of approaches. Studies that define critical concepts with the aid of empirical research are encouraged. Topics may include new/old media, convergence, spectacle, storage, interactivity, reception, static, transmission, contingency, globalization, virtual, design, access, form/content, effects, etc.
